Sharon Credit Union was honored to award 5 local students with scholarships for their upcoming freshman year of college.  The students were the proud recipients of Sharon Credit Union’s Annual Scholarship program.  Each spring, the Credit Union collects scholarship applications from high school seniors who are members of Sharon Credit Union or whose parents are members.  This year, the Credit Union received an overwhelming 135 applications.

Sharon Credit Union’s Board of Directors reviews each application and ultimately chooses 5 students who demonstrate excellence in academics and extra-curricular activities.  This year’s recipients are Natalie Maidment of Sharon who will be attending Ithica College, Dillion Knight of East Walpole who will be attending Tufts University, Ann Roberts of North Attleboro who will be attending Tufts University, Rachel Stier of Mansfield who will be attending Worcester State University, and Sara Ballou of Foxboro who will be attending UMass Amherst.  The students were each awarded $2500 and recognized at a reception at the Credit Union’s Corporate Office in Sharon.
